Special fiends mean so much!

Dear Crafters, for this card I've started with the Tattered Lace Essentials Decorative edges, because I love the look off this die.

I've took the piece of paper and embossed it with the Rose Garden embossing folder. After I've glued the rectangle on the design paper with 3D foam tape.
Then I've cut the base card from a light pink cardstock and a small rectangle for the sentiment.

The small sentiment rectangle I've glued with 3D foam tape onto the front of the card. After I've cut the delicate flourishes dies from the light pink cardstock and mat them beneath the sentiment.

Tatty Twinkle - Extra Special

Sharing a make using Tattered Lace's Tatty Twinkle and surprisingly Tattered Lace dies!! I know ha ha ha but it's very rare I make a project today without using a die, whether it be the basic but oh so essential layering dies or adding those finishing touches with a decorative corner or a flourish for that little area that just needs something to balance the design out!

1. Stamp up Tatty using Memento ink, tuxedo black, and colour her up using alcohol markers, adding a little bit of twinkle on the roses with wink of Stellar clear glitter brush. Stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set onto pink card stock and trim to size, matting onto blue card stock.

2. Die cut Tatty using Essential Decorative Circles, cut a larger mat in pink card stock and layer Tatty using foam pads.

3. Cut blue card stock 14.5 cm x 14.5 cm, mat on to card blank 6" x 6" card blank. Cut strips of pink card stock, 5 x 14.5 cm, blue card stock 4.5 x 14.5 cm and finally patterned card stock 4 x 14.5 cm. Matt and layer the strips and adhere to the right hand side of your card blank.

4. Add the focal point, the Tatty Twinkle topper, using foam pads or 3D glue.

5. Cut several Delicate Flourishes from pink, blue and patterned card stock, use to embellish Tatty Twinkle focal point. Add here the sentiment to the left hand side of the Tatty Twinkle.

6. Cut Trio Helen flower die, in pink card stock using 2nd largest die and finally cut the smallest Helen flower from patterned paper. Attach to the card on the bottom right hand side and add a Card Candi for the centre of the flower.

Blue Poppies by Brenda

I think we all have favourites when we get new crafting goodies and looking through the samples I made with the new Tattered Lace Trio's it's evident that Kirsty fits into this category.

The shape of the flower in this set just yells out Poppy to me so those that know me will not be surprise to see quite a few popping up. Red is the colour that comes freely to mind but the Meconopsis Grandis or Blue Poppy which is the National flower of Bhunan is beautiful and the inspiration behind today's card.

I started by masking a sun shape with masking fluid on a 7x7 piece of Centura Pearl (using the reverse) and then spritzing with London Blue, Pure Turquoise and Cut Grass Dylusions and Ranger pearl mica spray.

When dry I used grunge dimensional paste and a mask to create sunrays, set aside to dry for half an hour then reapplied the mask and sponged Mustard Seed DI over the dried paste, it doesn't pick up all the colours but adds gentle highlight here and there to the rays.

Next I used the same two blue Dylusions to paint six cut, embossed and stamped TL Kirsty Trio flowers and a spritz of mica stray to give sheen and blend the colours. For these I used a 120gsm white paper as it's strong enough to take the liquid but pliable enough to enable you to mould the flowers. When dry I added tiny stamens to the centre's. The leaves are cut from TL Sophie Trio set and painted with DI and spritzed with mica spray.

TL Butterfly Wondrous has been painted with the same Dylusions and mica spray and added to the card along with the flowers and ribbons. I had drew a few little birds to the sky.

Many thanks for taking a peek at today's card and as always I am happy to answer any questions.

More trio flowers by Brenda

I'm back with another card using the TL Trio die and embossing folder sets, they really are such fun and so easy to create stunning flowers to add to your cards or to use as the focal element. This card is also my Allsorts DT piece this week.

Using my favourite inky medium Dylusions I created a background and added some stenciling using grunge paste and then an outline face using another mask and distress ink.

The cardstock for the flowers and leaves is all coloured with Dylusions........does seem rather like I am addicted to them. I used two different sized dies from the TL Emma Trio set create the three flowers and added some glossy accents and seed beads to the centre's. I also cut and embossed two different sized leaves and over stamped them with the TL matching stamp set.

After arranging the flowers on the base I added a double organza bow using EA ribbon and bow maker, it never fails to amaze me how clever the bow maker is and how easy it makes creating anything from a simple to really spectacular bow.

I hope you all have a good weekend and thank you for popping in today.

Good morning my lovely crafters!

Today I have a card for you made with the decorative Edge rectangles and the PanPastel.
First I've cut the die form white cardstock and mat onto a green rectangle card.

On an other piece of white paper I've cut them into 12 small rectangles and coloured them with the PanPastle. After I've stamped the rectangles with a few little stamps.  I've mat the small squares onto the front of the card with 3D foam tape.

Then I mat the card onto a black basis card and finished my card with a
dutch sentiment "Jarig" with twine.

I hope you like my card! :-)

Ditsy Clematis by Brenda

Good morning to you all, today I have a card using some of the new dies that are premiering on Create and Craft.

This die is called Ditsy Clematis and is really pretty and delicate. I had a colour palette of green and lilac in my head so stuck with just those two colours. The TL Clematis die has been cut out five times from a nice green pearlescent card and the just the flowers from a lilac card.

The frame is also a new one and actually square but I wanted a rectangle shape so carefully snipped out a section of two sides, joined the reverse with some clear tape and then used the leftover pieces to create a shaped element in the centre of the top and bottom. This was then fixed onto a piece of white card embossed with TL All over Flourish.

Next I cut down some of the green die cut sections to enable me to arrange them over the frame and then fixed the flowers using pinflair to give them some dimension and also cut a few larger flowers from TL Spring Bloosms.

Finally I matted the frame onto some coordinating cardstock and a panel embossed with the same TL folder and added EA pearls to the flowers.

Hi Crafters!

Today I’m sharing a colourful Birthday Card with you! At first I’ve coloured white cardstock with PanPastels and let it dry. After I’ve mat a pink square and my previouse coloured card stock onto the front of the card.

I’ve coloured white cardstock a bit darker than the square base for the card and cut all different flowers out of the coloured cardstock. As you can see in the picture, I used three different kind of Tattered Lace flowers and mat the primrose in the centre of the other flowers.

I’ve sprayed the swirls and the sentiment die cut with adhensive and covered with glitter. After I’ve sticked the swirls behind the flowers and the sentiments into the card centre.

Happy is what happens by Lydia B.

Hello Crafters, I want to show you my card ‘Happy is what happens when
all your dreams come true’!

For this card I’ve use the decorative Edge rectangles and PanPastel colours.
First of all I’ve cut the die from white card stock. I’ve left the paper in the die and
mat it onto the die with non-permanent tape. Then I’ve mat a pattern onto the card
with the non-permanent tape as well and coloured them with PanPastel. After I’ve
coloured the rest of the white paper with the same PanPastel colours.

As soon as the colours were dry I’ve cut two butterflies out.

In the next step I removed the tape from the die and pattern and glued
the two butterflies onto the front of the card. Finally I’ve mat
the coloured rectangle with the butterflies onto a blue rectangle
and that onto brown card base with 3D foam tape.

You can see the dies are so wonderful and versatile.

Brighter Days by Gail

Hiya crafty friends, sharing a make today using the Ornamental Panel (D854), it's such an elegant die.

I decided to use a soft gentle lemon cardstock.  Yellow is not a colour I use a lot, my MIL's favourite colour was yellow and I was thinking about her this weekend and it's my little way of saying gone but not forgotten xox

Step by Step

1. Create a white card blank, 14x15cm.

2. Cut an aperture in the card blank using one of the rectangle layering dies from the Side Stepper card die (SC01). To create the lemon frame for the aperture, use the same rectangle die and a larger scalloped layering die, also from the Side Stepper die (SC01), and embellish the frame with flat back pearls.

3. Cut the Ornamental Panel (D854) from white cardstock and glue to the back of the aperture. Cut a rectangle of the lemon cardstock to cover the back of the aperture. Attach the aperture frame using foam pads.

4.  Using the lemon cardstock cut - a Sweet Pea (D857), three of the Delicate Flourishes (D845) and both sizes of the solid style Lacy Primrose (D852). Using the white cardstock cut both sizes of the lacy style Lacy Primroses (D852).

5. Glue the white Lacy Primroses (D852) onto the the lemon Lacy Primroses (D852), once dry snip between the petals but not all the way through. Curl the ends of the petals and using 3D glue layer the Lacy Primroses (D852),  embellish the centre with a flat back pearl.

6. Arrange the Sweet Pea (D857) and Delicate Flourishes (D845) and glue, add the Lacy Primrose (D852) using 3D glue.

7. Stamp your chosen sentiment onto white cardstock, the card here shows a Dreamees sentiment stamp, trim the card stock to size. Cut a larger layer in lemon card stock and attach your stamped sentiment with foam pads. Glue the sentiment to your card blank.

Pink and green easel card by Brenda - to be edited

Today I have one of my favourite styles of cards, a round easel card.

The easel base card has been made using TL essential circles and essential decorative circles as have the layers using some coordinating DP (Design Paper).

I made the flower using TL Emma Trio set and plain and gingham pink vellum, I used a 120gsm weight which embossed beautifully. The flowers have been layered up alternating the plain and pattered and a gem fixed in the center.

Lots of leaves and little heart strands cut using some of the dies in TL Get Started set and along with the flower fixed over the central circle which is embossed with TL all over flourish folder and lightly inked to make the pattern pop.

Finally a sentiment from TL Get Started set and a double bow made on the EA bow maker.

I hope you all have a good week and thank you for taking a peek today.

Mistletoe by Brenda

Today I have a fairly simple card to share with you, it's one that I made for the launch of the TL Christmas Trio sets over at Create and Craft, they are useful sets and are perfect when you have lots of Christmas cards to make or if you want to make a very special one and combine other elements with them.

There are three sizes of leaves in the set and I cut out quite a number of each size from white pearl card stock and inked lightly with bundles sage distress ink. I then cut out freehand several thin strips of the same card to act as stems and using dries clear glue assembled the leaves onto the branches starting with the largest leaves at the top working down to the smallest at the bottom.

The base card has been matted and layered with some gold linen card and a piece of Trimcraft DP in soft tones of beige and green. I then laid the mistletoe branches onto the DP and added a nice big bow using EA gold crinkle ribbon. Using the same gold linen card I cut out TL Merry Christmas and finito, what I think it a nice classical looking Christmas card.

As always, please to ask away or mail me any questions.

Floral heart by Brenda

Good Morning, I have another floral make using the new TL Trio sets.

I stared by covering the chipboard frame which comes in three parts but makes up quickly, with coordinating DP's (design papers) and lightly inking the edges and then assembled into place using EA glue.

Using coordinating DP's I cut out several blooms using TL Rebecca, Kirsty and Sophie sets, embossed them all and inked the edges with the same tea dye DI and sanded down the leaves which I cut from cooredinations. The flowers are randomly layered, fixed into place of the frame and gems added to the centre's. The butterfly is the smaller section of TL Butterfly Wondrous.

Have a lovely day everyone and don't forget to pop a note in your diaries for the shows coming up on Create an Craft TV this Friday when you can look forward to some fabulous new Tattered Lace goodies.

Hi everyone, today's share is a little pen holder I made for my fine liner pens.

I'm sure my crafty friends will empathize with me, I've very necessary
crafty supplies and stash and too little storage!! I'm also one if it's not visible
I can forget about things!!! I enjoy doing the faux stitching on my projects
so I bought some of the coloured fine liner pens. No room in the desk caddy
I have so I popped them in a drawer, so I always go for the black fine liner
I do have in my caddy!!! Tut tut I should use them more so I made a
little pen holder which fits just perfectly on little gap on
a shelf directly in front of my craft desk :)

Christmas Rose Book by Brenda

My share today is a project using the new TL Book die set, now I know I am always saying I love a particular new TL product, but this one really ticks every box. Your can make your book as simple or as elaborate as you wish.

I always think the traditional Christmas colours work well and although I often go with alternative colours, love to revert to rich tones of reds and greens.

Starting with the largest of the six book dies I cut three in alternating sizes, then using the three 'inbetween' sizes cut three from design paper, this one is a double sided one so coordinates perfectly. Using a score board I scored each of the layers down the centre and then using a wooden rolling pin curled the 'pages' of my book to give added shape............a tip which as you will guess I found out from my own initial error.........do the rolling before fixing the design paper to the white layers, otherwise they tend to crinkle in places you don't want !!

Once assembles you can decorate however you wish, there are quite a few other dies in the set such as a small book, bookmarks and a lovely ribbon scroll sentiment die which I just love and have used on this one. The sentiment is computer generated and it's simple to then place the die to cut the scroll. I have also added some TL Trio Christmas Roses and Holly Leaves and ribbons and bows down the central spine.

If you were lucky enough to buy the TL book die set I hope you enjoy using it as much as I do and I am confident everyone who receives one of these very special creations will absolutely love it.

Centura Unicorn by Anjie

I made a card blank from Centura Pearl and used the Script embossing folder (EF062) on some more Centura Pearl to create the background layer. I then made another mat and layer using the same products. I used a pink distress ink pad to add some ink around the edges of the layers. I wrapped some Embellishment Attic ribbon around the background layer and then used 3D foam to stick the layer down to create some height. I also added a bow using the same ribbon.  I then cut a Unicorn using the Unicorn die (D624) and used covered it in Crystal Glitter. I used 3D foam to mount it on the card. Finally I cut out Birthday Wishes from the Sentiments Die Collection (D855), covered it in Crystal Glitter and glued in place.

Charisma Poppy frame by Brenda

Poppies are my favourite flower so I was thrilled when the new Tattered Lace Charisma Poppy CD Rom and die arrived through my front door.

To start I made up the frame from cream cardstock and then cut a square to fir into the aperture which I embossed with TL all over flourish and inked lightly with TI barn door.

After printing out the poppies which come in a variety of colours, I cut them out with the coordinating die and then decoupaged two of them and fixed into the aperture and tied a piece of red organza ribbon across the bottom.

Using green cardstock I cut several TL large Ivy and arranged around the frame and added some more poppies using just the flower heads. To finished a TL Butterfly which I glittered with EA ultra fine glitter.

Have a lovely weekend.

Best Wishes

This card is made in various shades brown and with only Tattered Lace Dies. The Volkswagen Beetle die (Retro Car) is a beautiful die which I cut out of two different colours brown for the car itself, yellow for the headlights, orange for the license plate and black for the tires. It needs time and patience, but the result is awesome.

The flowers in the right corner above are made of the Lacy Primrose dies. First I’ve used the Lacy Primrose die and cut flowers from light brown and dark brown card stock for the lower flowers. For the top flowers I’ve used a-jour flowers.
The swirls (Delicate Flourishes) cut out of from dark brown card stock and I haven’t glued them completely onto the card as it gives a special effect as you can see on the photo.
The sentiment "Best Wishes" is cut out of brown card stock and I’ve sprayed with adhesive and coat with dark brown glitter.

Butterfly Tags

Hi, crafty friends, hope your all well!

Sharing some tags I've made - I've been experimenting with watercolour backgrounds and have created a trio of tags using some of the Tattered Lace Trio dies and my favourite butterfly from my collection of Tattered Lace butterfly dies.

I used the butterfly die to create a stamp, cut from craft foam, it gives a great impression when stamping.

All the backgrounds for the tags were created on watercolour card stock using Brusho Crystals.
